Make sure that the USB port on your computer is functioning properly. If you've followed these steps, and are still having issues, you may have a hardware issue. You should see a message appear in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, indicating that the VEX IQ brain was detected. With the Modkit for VEX editor open, disconnect then reconnect the USB cable to the VEX IQ brain.

If Modkit still hasn't detected the VEX IQ brain, try to disconnect then reconnect the VEX IQ brain.
